Credify
A credit app that doesn't make you feel bad about your credit.
Credify started as an internal exercise. Most credit-score apps treat their users like risks. We wanted to design one that treats them like adults learning how money works.
The brief
Credify is a concept design for a personal credit score dashboard with real-time monitoring, factor breakdowns, and alerts when something changes. Our team designed the iOS and Android app from the ground up to make complex credit concepts feel visual, calm, and actionable, particularly for first-time credit users who get the most overwhelmed by the existing options.
What we solved
Most credit-score apps are designed to drive anxiety, because anxiety drives engagement. Notifications shout, reds and oranges flood the home screen, and recommendations feel like guilt. We wanted to flip that: a credit app that explains what's happening and helps the user act, without manufactured urgency.
How we got there
We started by stripping every credit score app down to their core utility: tell me my score, tell me why, tell me what to do. Each of those got its own home-screen surface. Color was used to highlight clarity, not panic. The factor breakdown uses friendly language ('the size of your oldest account' instead of 'credit history length') so first-time users can self-educate inside the app.
What we shipped
The Credify concept landed on a three-tab structure: score with trend, factors with explanations, and actions with concrete next steps. Each factor card is paired with a one-line plain-English summary that links into a deeper explanation. Plaid integration sketches show how the app would pull real-time data without storing credentials.
What changed for the client
Credify was used internally as a portfolio piece and a reference design for client engagements in fintech. The concept generated multiple inbound inquiries from fintech founders who saw the work and wanted to engage AXI for similar projects.

Questions that come up most often when companies reach out about projects like this.
No. Credify is an AXI internal concept. We use concept work to explore design problems we find interesting and to give the team space to push the brand and product systems they don't always get to flex inside client constraints.
Yes. Most of our fintech client work draws on the same design principles we explored in Credify. AXI Launch handles fixed-price builds. Book a call and we'll scope the right shape for your idea.
Selectively. We publish concepts when they push the team's craft or showcase a problem space we want to attract more client work in. Our concept pieces have driven a meaningful share of recent inbound for fintech and consumer mobile work.
Yes. We've shipped multiple consumer fintech products with Plaid integrations including Mintro, Nova, and Zeno. We're comfortable with the Plaid API surface and the design patterns that make connecting a bank account feel safe.
