HQ Workspace
Booking.com for booking creative talent.
HQ Workspace came to us with a thesis about creative talent marketplaces: every existing one feels like a job board with prettier photos. They wanted something that felt more like booking a hotel.
The brief
HQ Workspace is a B2B talent marketplace where brands and agencies book creative professionals for projects. We built the complete brand identity, the marketing site, the web dashboard for clients and creatives, and the mobile app. The engagement spanned sixteen weeks across four product surfaces.
What we solved
Creative talent marketplaces have a chicken-and-egg problem: brands won't book on a platform with a thin roster, creatives won't list on a platform with no demand. The brand had to feel premium enough to attract great creatives at launch, and the booking experience had to feel as smooth as Booking.com so brands actually trusted it for real money.
How we got there
We started with the brand: confident wordmark, editorial typography, and a photography direction that treated creatives like featured talent rather than directory listings. The web dashboard for brands is built around the moment of booking: filter, shortlist, message, book. The dashboard for creatives surfaces incoming requests, project status, and payouts. The mobile app focuses on the parts each audience actually uses on their phone.
What we shipped
The marketing site treats creative profiles like editorial features. The web dashboard handles browsing, shortlisting, and booking with a smooth handoff to messaging and payments. The mobile app gives both audiences a focused phone experience for the parts of the workflow that happen on the go. Adobe After Effects animations bring the brand to life across all four surfaces.
What changed for the client
HQ Workspace launched with 400+ creatives on the platform across photography, video, design, and styling. Fifty plus brands signed up within the first quarter, and the platform closed its Series A six months post-launch on the back of the live marketplace momentum.
Frequently asked.
Questions that come up most often when companies reach out about projects like this.
Yes. HQ Workspace is one of the largest engagements we've shipped: brand, marketing site, web dashboard, and mobile app together. We can scope multi-surface engagements when the client is ready to move quickly and wants a single team holding the whole stack.
Yes. Webflow works well for marketplace marketing sites where the client team needs to update editorial content frequently. We pair it with custom dev work for the dynamic listing and dashboard layers.
We design the motion principles up front (timing curves, signature moments, brand-specific gestures) and then deploy them consistently across surfaces. After Effects gives us full control for hero brand moments, with simpler motion done in CSS or Framer for in-product use.
Multi-surface engagements like HQ Workspace are scoped via AXI Launch and run from $50K to $250K+ depending on surface count and depth. Most clients break the engagement into phases: brand and site first, then dashboards, then mobile.
