The brief

AboutWork is an HR platform built around getting new hires productive faster. Automated paperwork, scheduled onboarding meetings, and AI-generated role-specific learning paths that adapt as the new hire moves through their first 90 days. We built the marketing site and the HR admin web app over twelve weeks.

What we solved

HR software is universally despised. Existing tools bury the actual work (onboarding new hires) under endless admin (forms, compliance, audit trails). AboutWork had to feel different from the first session: clear, modern, and clearly built for HR teams who want to spend their time on people, not paperwork.

03Approach

How we got there

We designed the dashboard around the new hire, not the form. Each new hire has a dedicated profile that shows their onboarding progress, scheduled meetings, and learning path completion. Claude powers the role-specific learning path generation, drawing from the company's existing documentation. The marketing site leads with the time-to-productivity narrative rather than the feature list.

Each new hire's onboarding is designed as a guided pathway with embedded paperwork, scheduled meetings, and AI-curated learning content.
