Find Real Estate
Search for a home the way you actually think about one.
Find Real Estate had a simple thesis: nobody starts their home search with bedrooms and price. They start with a feeling. We built the site that lets you start there.
The brief
Find Real Estate is a property listing platform with an immersive hero search experience. Unlike typical real estate sites that lead with filter chips, this one leads with a cinematic hero that lets you search by neighborhood vibe, walkability, light, and other softer attributes that buyers actually care about. We designed the marketing site, the listing experience, and the hero search interaction.
What we solved
Real estate is dominated by Zillow and Redfin, both optimized for high-volume agent listings. Find Real Estate is positioned for premium buyers who care less about the volume and more about the qualitative match. The site had to feel premium from the first second without sacrificing the practical search functionality buyers still expect.
How we got there
We started with the hero. The first interaction on the site is a soft, motion-driven search prompt that lets the user describe what they're looking for in natural language: 'walkable, lots of light, near a park.' Listings then surface ranked by qualitative match. Filter chips are still available but pushed to the secondary surface. The map and listing pages keep the same elevated tone with restrained typography and editorial photography treatment.
What we shipped
The marketing site leads with the cinematic hero, then transitions into ranked listings, then into individual listing detail pages with full Mapbox integration and high-touch property pages. A custom CMS powers the editorial content layer for neighborhood guides. Framer Motion drives the hero search interaction and a few key transitions.
What changed for the client
Average session time on Find Real Estate is 3x longer than the leading competitor in their target markets. Detail page views per session are up 40 percent versus the legacy filter-driven approach. The site now ranks number one for 'luxury homes [city]' queries in four launch markets.
Frequently asked.
Questions that come up most often when companies reach out about projects like this.
Yes. We've designed several listing and marketplace sites including Find Real Estate, GoTokyo, HQ Workspace, and FlyKhiva. Custom search UX is one of the most differentiated levers for category challengers and we focus a lot of design energy there.
Real estate listings live and die on photography. We design every detail page around making photography lead, with metadata in service of the visual story. Mapbox handles the geographic layer, a CMS handles editorial neighborhood content, and the search experience is designed for emotional discovery rather than checkbox filtering.
We pick the CMS based on the editorial team's authoring needs and the developer ergonomics required. We've shipped editorial CMS layers across Find Real Estate, GoTokyo, FlyKhiva, and others.
AXI Launch handles the initial fixed-price build. The depth of the listing experience and the level of motion involved drive scope.
